The Most Luxurious Ways To Pamper Yourself Without Leaving The House

The Most Luxurious Ways To Pamper Yourself Without Leaving The House

Unless you're living that Kylie Jenner lifestyle, weekly trips to the spa are not financially an option. So, what happens when you're having one of those days and you desperately need a (budget friendly) way to unwind? I'm so happy you asked because, I GOT YOU GIRL. Below are some of my favorite ways to unwind and pamper myself, without leaving the house!

Coconut Oil Is The Answer

Frizzy Hair? Coconut Oil
No Shaving Cream? Coconut Oil
Dry Skin? Coconut Oil
Bad Credit? Coconut Oil
BF Acting Up? Coconut Oil

LOL ok but in all seriousness, one thing that should always be in your cabinet is Coconut Oil. It can solve at least 86 of your problems! Let's chat hair care: coconut oil serves as a hair conditioner and moisturizer. You can leave it in overnight or condition with a heat cap if you are pressed for time. Coconut oil also provides shine and will leave you feeling like Beyoncè after one application.

Pour Some Sugar On Me

For an at home exfoliate scrub, grab the following ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup raw oatmeal
1 cup olive oil

Once mixed together, apply to dry skin. Don’t forget to make slow circles on your body – ENJOY the treatment, don’t rush it or rub too hard on your skin. After gently scrubbing, rinse off and your skin will be singing hallelujiah!!

I also came across a Vanilla and Lavender Body scrub that sounds too heavenly not to share.

Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 cup grape seed oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoon dried lavender (optional)
12 drops lavender essential oil

Mix all ingredients together in a medium sized bowl and use in the shower or tub, daily.

Soothing Shower

Take your shower up a notch by hanging a eucalyptus bundle from your shower head. Eucalyptus plants are more than a pretty bouquet to look at. When hanging them in your shower, the steam and heat from the shower helps to release aromatherapy powers. Not only does the aromatherapy work wonders for your body but it also serves as a relaxing treat for your mind.

Hide Behind A Mask

One of my favorite ways to pamper myself is by putting on a mask. What mask do you swear by? I love recommendations so leave a comment at the end of this post, please :) Here are some of my favorites:

Turn The Lights Off

Few things are more peaceful than a candle lit bath and or shower. Turn on the water, light your favorite scented candles and let the day wash away as the candles flicker on the other side of the curtain.

The Little Things

Sometimes the most mind blowing treatment you can give yourself is simply plopping down on the couch and doing nothing but listening to silence. Pure and utter silence. We tend to get caught up in the idea that we need to partake in an extravagant gesture to unwind or to treat ourselves. Reality is, the little things tend to have the biggest most beneficial effects. So, pour yourself a glass of wine, turn on your favorite song and dance around your place.  Call a friend to TALK on the phone. Look in the mirror and say, I love you to the reflection that is staring back. Enjoy a piece of chocolate and taste each and every single bite. Open a new book and get lost in the pages. Relax my friend,  relax. YOU deserve it.

Clip Coupons

Ok so this doesn’t fall under the category of at home spa treatments but it’s worth chatting about anyway. Sometimes, splurging on a massage or a facial is a luxurious treat to yourself that you’ve been craving. Before you book the appointment, do your credit card bill a favor and check both Groupon and Living Social. Both sites offer serious discounts for spa services #YassHoney - no shame in the coupon game!

Time to unwind,
